UCLA Goes to Italy!

I was invited back for another UCLA EMBA international Business Residential, and this time to Italy!

This trip is an interesting one as we have all now officially graduated! It’s rather surreal. The fact that we all have MBAs hasn’t fully sunk in yet. But it’s the truth regardless!

Being in Italy with my classmates has been great. Especially since there are some classmates on this trip I never got to fully connect with before the trip, so I feel very fortunate that I was able to come to Italy and build stronger relationships with them.

We got to meet some top business leaders while in Milano, and we even got a chance to do cultural visits too!

Seeing his Italy conducts business is fascinating. They’re a country of very relaxed people. I don’t feel the, nor have we seen, the hustle and bustle we experience in LA. After speaking with the alumni and speakers, we learned that in Italy, they rather take things slow, and not overwork themselves. They know the progress will come, and they value quality much more than quantity.

While for me it seemed a bit too slow paced, I think it’s important to take note and reflect on it. Sometimes being lost in the crazy of the hustle and bustle isn’t healthy; and we should learn to take a step back.

These UCLA international trips have really helped open my eyes to the world in a way I never could have imagined. I’m grateful to have been given these opportunities.
