Weight loss Journey
I have gained and lost the same 50-100lbs so many times in my life, that I have a bag of clothes at home called "Shayan lose weight clothes" lol. This way, I never have to buy new clothes when I lose weight again, or when I gain weight, since I have "Fat Shayan clothes" too.
Back in pre-covid days, I was about 190lbs-205lbs.
During COVID however, with the combination of stress of what was going on in my life, the closure of gyms, and everything else, I went up to 298 lbs! A massive abnormal weight gain.
On 04/11/23, I was 242 lbs, a good 56lbs sheded from my max of 298.
And now, I am down to 228lbs! Another 14 lbs.
I have been doing my best to not overeat, and also walk and workout. However, due to the environment I am in, which is full of dust, debris and dirt, I have to be careful. I double mask up, and cover my mouth and nose, so that I can walk to help improve my health. Same with working out. When it is too windy and dusty, I refrain from working out, but when the wind and dust calms down, I do what I can to workout for a bit.
My inhaler has been life saver for me! It's a catch 22. The doctor here told me to lose weight (he wants me down to 175lbs!), but I also cannot be outside too much due to the environment... so I have to do everything in moderation. Watch the wind/weather, mask up, and try to walk and get some exercise in. I am glad to have my inhaler with me though, as I find myself using it during the day at least 2 times. I think due to a combination of the environment and my lungs getting worse.
Nonetheless, I will follow the doctor's advice to lose weight, while masking up to walk, and trying what I can. I am also doing sit ups and crunches, which I think will go along way.
I hope to get down to 220lb by the end of May.
